Greenville is my home town... You wouldn't have known that when my family moved here from Boston. You definitely can't tell by my accent that I was once a New Englander...

Greenville is the third largest city in the state of South Carolina. It is the the largest city in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metropolitan area. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 56,002, an urbanized area population of 302,194, with a metro population of 962,441. Greenville is the main city of "The Upstate", an 8-county region of South Carolina located between Charlotte and Atlanta. Greenville is located approximately halfway between them along Interstate I-85.
If you are in Greenville in the winter..I always try to attend Fall for Greenville. It is festival, in which you will hear good music, taste good food and see good friends! Held every October hosted by St Francis Hospital.
Our downtown area is progressing rapidly with a variety of restaurants and hotels. One of the sites that I Love from downtown is (Falls Park) 
While you are here, you may take in a concert at The Bilo Center , which has an estimated cost of 63 Million dollars and the capacity is as follows:

One of the Free things to do is to find the Mice on Main. 
Based on the popular children's book Goodnight Moon, a bronzed sculpture of the book and one mouse are mounted on the fountain in front of the Hyatt Regency hotel and the other eight mice are installed along a nine-block stretch of Main Street between the Hyatt & the Westin Poinsett hotels
There are currently 1200 residential units Downton. Of these, 35% (424) units were built within the past 5 yesars. There are 630 units currently proposed or under construction. Average price per sq ft: 209/sq. ft and Average sales price $ 256,251. This statistic is old--Downtown is Booming!!
